Moisture from outside...
... is it good?
The skin needs moisture, which comes primarily from within. It is structured to repel water from the outside in order to protect the body's interior.
We can act from the outside up to the skin barrier with moisturizing ingredients such as glycerin, oils and hyaluronic acid.
By our own strength.
It's important to understand that water primarily functions as a carrier in cosmetics. Its purpose is to make ingredients containing important natural moisturizing factors (NMF) available to the skin. These active ingredients help the skin maintain and improve its moisture retention capacity. Plant oils are particularly valuable in this regard, as they often form a breathable protective film and thus slow down transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
LYK/SKIN therefore relies on flower hydrosols, which already contain natural active ingredients. Additionally, the plant-based ingredients are then incorporated into the product, making them available to the skin. Therefore, we avoid adding drinking water.
